I
custom ordered "Virginia" before she was
born. I told Vonda (Virginia's breeder and one of my best friends) that I
wanted a buckskin filly with white stockings, black garters and homozygous
for black AND the agouti. As it happens, she was born May 20, 2006 -
the night of my wedding to my other best friend (Nathaniel). Vonda was at
my wedding and went home to find "my" filly...
Virginia has a gorgeous teacup muzzle and a
beautiful eye, but she's not just a pretty face. She is as naturally
gaited as they come. She really picks up her legs and nods her head. She also has a wonderful disposition: alert, friendly and
inquisitive. Virginia should mature around 15.2+ hands with plenty of
substance, like both her sire and dam.

 Virginia's sire is Magic's Golden Flash,
CHBOA 2005 Sire of the
Year. Flash is a purebred Tennessee Walking Horse, but he's not registered
with the TWHBEA (He IS registered with the IPWHR, NSSHA, SSHBEA,
CHBOA, and SMHA).
Flash is an amazing animal - massive, powerful, but every inch the
gentleman. The first time I met him Vonda let me climb on him bareback and
he treated me to quite an experience...almost earth-moving! Vonda and I
have been talking about crossing daughters of Flash and Gambler for quite
a while...now I've got my Flash daughter!
The results are back from UC Davis and
Virginia is homozygous for black and the agouti! (EE AA), she does not
carry the sabino gene (Sb1), and she has one copy of the cream gene
(N/Cr).
Virginia will be bred to
Golden Gambler for 2011!
