Angel is a 16 hand buckskin mare with a great substance and bone. She has a body to die for. Great big shoulder, deep heart girth, powerful hindquarters, and great strong, straight legs. She has a true head-nodding, ear-flopping running walk that she will stay in all day if asked. Her running walk is beautiful to watch - poetry in motion. She is an absolutely fantastic ride, but needs an experienced rider. She has never done anything silly, she just feels very tense at first which could be intimidating for an inexperienced rider. Angel is a highly intelligent mare. She is bold and naturally inquisitive, but is very shy of people until she gets used to them. We don't know much about her history, but suspect that this is the result of past experiences, rather than any natural tendency. Once she trusts you, she is very personable and really enjoys attention. She is also a big talker, and loves to nicker to "her people" whenever she sees them. Angel has proven herself to be an excellent mother and consistently produces top quality foals. However, because Angel tends to be overprotective of her foals, she teaches them to be shy of humans. To ensure that they become as people-friendly as their other sisters and brothers, we wean her foals earlier than most and put them in with their more trusting siblings.
